Quantum key distribution

In this application example, we show how to design and simulate a photonic circuit for quantum key distribution (QKD) using the Luceda Photonics Design Platform.

We first give an introduction to quantum key distribution and how it can be used for secure communications. Then, we show how to implement the circuit for the QKD receiver in a silicon nitride platform.
