Logical Blocks

This package contains a a number of logical waveguide blocks: couplers, inline reflectors, … These form the basis of many 1x1, 1x2 and 2x2 waveguide components.

The logical blocks do not have a Layout View, but they can be used to construct circuits and simulate them. They can also be used in circuits to include parasitic effects such as waveguide coupling or inline reflections, or terminate unused waveguide terms.

The components have caphe models where the parameters can be manually tuned.

We subdivide waveguide components in the following categories:

• Couplers: 1x2, 2x1 and 2x2 couplers.

• Reflectors: Inline waveguide reflectors.

• Terminations: Termination of open waveguide ends.
